What is a vape - a basic definition for beginners

WHAT IS VAPING?
What is vaping? This is probably the most frequently asked question we get every day. This question is often asked along with questions like:

- Is vaping harmful?

- Does it contain tobacco leaves?

- Is vaping safer than smoking?

You can probably imagine the general answer, but here's an answer that defines what vaping is?

DEFINITION OF VAPE
Vaping can be defined as inhaling vapor using a personal vaporization device.

Vaping or electronic cigarette can be considered as an alternative to cigarettes. It is similar to smoking but eliminates some of the harmful or negative effects caused by cigarettes such as: no bad breath, no bad breath, no harmful effects of tobacco leaves, no cigarette butts, less chance of developing cancer and other related diseases, especially no effect on people around.

Simply put, vaping is the name for using a vaporizer (a device used for vaping). This process involves using high heat to create vapor from a liquid medication (e-liquid). People who vape are called vapers (if they smoke regular cigarettes, they are called smokers).

HISTORY OF VAPE
Contrary to what many of us think, vaping was “born” about 5 decades ago (1960 to be exact). Back then, vapes weren’t the same as they are today – meaning vaporizers weren’t as affordable as modern versions. They were bulky and could only be carried on a table.

The genius behind this device was Hon Lik, a Chinese pharmacist who was inspired by his father's death from lung cancer. He called the device Ruyan, which roughly translates to "like smoke."

Ruyan became popular and gradually dominated the American market in 2000, and that's when the word "vape" was born.

VAPORIZER STRUCTURE
A vaporizer is made up of small parts that are assembled together, including:

- Body: is a device that contains a battery to power the torch and can be charged via a USB port.

- Burner: this is where the essential oil is stored and is responsible for receiving energy from the body of the device to heat the burner and subsequently evaporate the essential oil.

- Essential Oil: Also known as e-juice/e-liquid, it is a flavoring additive for smoking. It is a liquid made from water and other ingredients, including nicotine. It can be flavorless or have different flavors, there are currently hundreds of flavors to choose from. E-liquid contains ingredients such as: vegetable glycerin (VG), propylene glycol (PG), nicotine and flavoring. These ingredients are converted into vapor when heated by a burner. There are currently 2 main types of essential oils on the market: free base essential oil and salt and nicotine essential oil.

HOW TO VAP?
If you are completely new to the "world of vaping", you will probably be interested in the question: how to vape?

E-liquids are classified by nicotine concentration/mg: mild (3 mg), medium (6 mg), strong (12 mg). There is also a 0 mg version, which means no nicotine for those who want to vape without using nicotine. Higher concentrations of nicotine will cause a sensation in the throat, known as a “throat hit” or “kick”. It depends on the person and the desired nicotine concentration.

Tip: To begin, we recommend starting with the lowest strength e-liquid (0 mg or 3 mg) and then gradually increasing according to your own level of nicotine addiction.

WHERE TO START
To get started, you should look for a starter kit or an all-in-one (AIO) kit for beginners. These vaping kits have the following common features: medium power, including the body and burner, easy to use and maintain.

WHERE CAN I VAP?
You can vape wherever you want (since it’s not a drug), but vaping is increasingly being “legalized” around the world. Like smoking, vaping may be restricted or banned in some places. To be polite to the people around you, you should ask or follow the laws there (if any).

BENEFITS OF VAPE
There is an ongoing debate about whether vaping is safe or not. After all, the food we eat every day isn't 100% healthy, right?

However, I can say that: based on various studies, vaping is related to nicotine, but absolutely not to tobacco leaves. It has its own form, which means that nicotine is inhaled through water vapor, so it has no negative impact on the cardiovascular system. It creates a vapor that evaporates quickly, so inhaling the smoke has absolutely no effect on people around.

Vaping also doesn't cause unpleasant odors. Vaping will still satisfy your nicotine cravings, but avoid the negative health effects, worse yet, cancer.

What's more? Vaping has no social stigma, no fire, no cigarette butts.

If you have tried to quit smoking many times... and failed, we can sympathize with each other. But try quitting smoking and vaping instead, the effects are the same, but I guarantee you that vaping will be more beneficial to your health. Maybe you are a "newbie" and still don't believe what I say in this article about the benefits of vaping.
